Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need insurance?
Yes. For the protection of all marina members, including yourself, we require proof of insurance before accepting any signed contract or payment.

Do you sell boats?
No, but we do have annual marine flea markets and boat auctions held at Edgewater Marina. Watch this website for announcements on these special events.

Do you have transient docks for visitors?
Yes, although we cannot guarantee dockage without a reservation. You can email or call us to check availability, we usually have a space for visitors. Our busiest weekends are holiday weekends. We monitor Channel 68.

Do you allow pets?
Yes. We have a limited green area and your pet must be kept on a leash at all times. You must pick up after your pets and they are not allowed in any food service areas.

How far are you from the lake?
Both marinas are harbor protected right on Lake Erie - no coasting up the river at either of our locations! Visit the Dock Map pages on this site for more information.

Can you store my trailer?
Yes. We offer trailer storage at Edgewater Marina for an additional fee. We do not dry dock/sail, or store trailers at east 55th Street Marina.

What about jetskis?

How is your marina monitored?
We have a number of recording security cameras throughout the marina. The gates are also card activated by our members only. Since the marina is the property of the State of Ohio, park rangers will be cruising through.

I want to sell my boat. What is the policy?
In order to deter others from boarding yours or the boats of others, we ask that no signage be posted on your vessel. You can post your information at the office, but we do not want to be involved with the sale of your boat.

What about dock boxes do you rent them, can I bring my own?
We do not rent dock boxes, but you are welcome to bring your own at East 55th Street Marina. The docks at Edgewater cannot accomodate dock boxes.

I want to host an event, do you have space for rent?
Yes. We love to host outings and events for clubs, groups or families. Please call our office and talk to our coordinator about setting a date.

I am not a member. Can I come in and eat at the restaurant?
Yes. We love to have guests.
Onboard, you can call ahead and place an order for carry-out, or come eat inside or on our patio. Call us at channel 68 and we’ll let you know where to dock. On land, just come to the gate and ring us. We’ll make sure you are going to the right place.
